Parent & Tot Creative Movement - (Ages 18 - 35 months)
This sessional class is a creative movement based class for those energetic toddlers and parents looking for enjoyable ways to exercise and explore with their young children. The use of props , imaginary play, stories & songs will have your child grinning form start to finish. This class is the perfect launching pad for increasing fine motor skills and cognitive awareness by preparing them for future activities such as dance or yoga. This class fills extremely quickly. Pre-Ballet 1, 2 & 3
This is a fun filled ballet-based class designed for young children. This creative movement class encourages a love of movement while preparing children with the foundations for all genres of dance. While ballet technique is emphasized, musicality, motor coordination, balance, posture, confidence and poise are among the many skills acquired in this play-based program. The use of dance props, toys, stories and imaginative play helps to keep each class new and exciting while simultaneously engaging children in the fundamental elements of dance. Each class targets each individual age group's phase of development to give you the highest quality education for your individual son or daughter. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet
Both classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance’s newly revised ballet syllabus for the most current and inclusive ballet education available today taught by TWSDY's very own RAD Registered & Certified Teaching Staff. These classes will prepare students for the rigors of grade-level ballet and other dance forms while also maintaining an enjoyment for the art form with play-based learning and creative movement principles. The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga is a recognized & certified school with The Royal Academy of Dance. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Dancers will be exposed to the Royal Academy of Dance’s newly revised ballet syllabus for the most current and inclusive ballet education available today. The classes will progress through a series of exercises emphasizing proper ballet and character technique, posture & alignment, strength, use of the feet, performance enhancement and grace. The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga is a recognized & certified school with The Royal Academy of Dance. *All Classes will participate in two dances in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Jazz
This class is designed for those who are looking for a dance form that is energetic, fun and technique-based. This fast-paced class focuses on intricate steps, technical patterns, musicality, posture and draws from a variety of different jazz forms from "Pop Jazz" to "Contemporary Jazz" to give students the most current instruction with age appropriate programming and popular upbeat music. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Tap
Dancers will have the opportunity to explore this unique style of dance designed to increase the understanding of rhythm while exploring intricate sounds and steps made possible with specialized shoes called tap shoes. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Musical-Theatre
This class involves drama, theatre technique, singing and dance all in one. Dancers will flourish in this dance style that encourages self-confidence, improvisational skills, and a greater sense of stage presence. Dancers will be exposed to a multitude of different musicals, drama games, theatre exercises and more making this an extremely enjoyable class for all levels of experience. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Hip-Hop
4This popularized dance style will teach kids a variety of different dance moves from intricate body movements to an assortment of breakdancing tricks while dancing to the latest popular tunes (kid-friendly versions!) This fast-paced class contains lots of body isolations, an energetic warmup, and a ton of the most current to the most classic hip-hop dance moves. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

Contemporary (Age 9+)
This popular dance form concentrates on a variety of different modern dance techniques including Graham, Cunningham and Limon techniques among others. Dancers will also have the opportunity to be expressive in their movement while also being exposed to lyrical dance making this one of the most expressive , mature and enjoyable types of dance for older students. Abstract thinking, improvisation, composition, and intention are among the many skills acquired in this popular genre of dance. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.

AcroDance
This program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner preschool level dancer from log rolls and summersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage! Taught by our very own Acrobatic Arts Certified Faculty for the most current and safest practice available. All classes will participate in the year end Recital in Spring 2025.
