Miss Allison's first experience with dance started when she was just 2 years old in Milton, Ontario. Her love for dance and teaching lead her to successfully audition for one of three spots in Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts' Post-Baccalaureate Dance program. While in Vancouver, she founded and co-captained, Canada's only NCAA Division Dance Team. In 2014, she lead her team to a performance at the Grey Cup opening ceremonies. Her team continues to be Canada's only NCAA performing dance team in the country.

Miss Allison has also completed her Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies with the world renowned Royal Academy of Dance. She holds Registered Teaching Status with the RAD and has also completed her Intermediate & Advanced Jazz syllabus examinations with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.

Miss Allison is also a well versed yoga teacher. Having completed her training at UoG's RYT 200 hour training program in 2015. She is also completing her RCYT (children's yoga designation) with Young Yoga Masters this summer.

In 2018, Allison opened The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga inc. starting with just 15 students. Little did she know, almost a decade later, TWSDY would become a popular school in Oxford County that now offers classes to over 2000 students annually.

Allison is also the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Oxford County, an award she received from Community Futures Oxford in 2022. She and her school have also been nominated several times for the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Awards for "Best New Business" and "Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award".

Miss Allison's primary mission is to create a facility that is inclusive, age appropriate, one in which students can flourish in a positive and non-competitive environment.

She has dedicated her life to running a warm and welcoming school for all ages and abilities and has a passion for encouraging both her students and staff, to continue to follow their dreams.

Hi I'm Miss Anna! I grew up dancing with Judith Coleman's Oxford School of Dance. I have also danced with many summer schools at both the Quinte Ballet School and The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and at just 15, the School of Alberta Ballet. I was also accepted to the School of Toronto Dance Theatre just after graduating high school. Within the three year program, I volunteered in the "Young Dancer's Program", and was the Assistant Stage Manager for multiple student run productions. In 2016, I graduated college with a certificate in contemporary dance where I decided to then travel to become a freelance dance artist in the United Kingdom and Europe. I have lots of experience touring and dancing with multiple contemporary artists and performing in various shows. While in the UK, I joined an organization based in New York City called "MindLeaps" and taught street youth dance in West Africa for ages 9-21. I am so very passionate about sharing my knowledge of dance and have happily been teaching in London, England with The Little Dance Academy and Central School of Ballet for the past 4 years. I have also graduated from the Certificate in Ballet Studies program with the Royal Academy of Dance at the National Ballet of Canada for registered RAD teaching status. I am so excited and ready to be back in Canada and teach full-time at The Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga!

I have over 10 years of competitive dance experience through Jo Read Dance, where I trained and competed in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro, contemporary, musical theatre, hip-hop and tap. Tap and Acro are my favourite styles, and I am currently a member of the professional company Syncopate Tap Co. as well as completing my Acrobatic Arts Certification.

Outside of dance, I will have completed my degree in Biological Science at Brock University with the goal of becoming a teacher in 2026. I love working with children and helping them learn, grow, and gain confidence in themselves. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students achieve their goals and celebrate their successes. I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels comfortable, encouraged, and excited to come to class. I am thrilled to be teaching Acro Dance at The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga for the upcoming season!

In 2024, I was hired as a summer dance camp teacher and LOVED IT!  This past season, I've had the pleasure of supply teaching for our wonderful teachers at TWSDY. I loved every minute of it and I loved meeting so many TWSDY dancers, this helped to cement my love for teaching. I cannot wait to teach on faculty this year for the 2026 / 2027 Season.

This past year, I really started to miss competing and decided to return to it for my senior year, where I had the privilege of learning from amazing teachers and choreographers.

I graduated from Woodstock Collegiate Institute with a French Immersion certificate this year. Going forward I hope to learn from my mentors, Miss Allison and Miss Anna, about teaching dance. In the future, I plan to further my education in dance.

My name is Pamela Genge but most people call me Pam.

I am passionate about teaching yoga because of the benefits that come with it. The more that you practice yoga, the more that you yearn to be in that yoga frame of mind.  Yoga means serenity, peacefully yet at the same time a great physical release.  Over the last 10 years, I have seen students come in wound up from their work day  and leave with the calmness that can last until the next time they come to their mat. There is nothing better than seeing everyone in savasana at the the end of a class, the beauty of stillness and happiness, where no one wants to leave.

Being in the moment, mindful movements are what you can expect from my classes.  I will guide you through the class so that you can get what you need out of each class.

I have studied for my 500 ERYT, Foundations of Chair Yoga, Mat Pilates plus I am personal trainer.

I cannot wait to meet everyone at The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga!
